About NTB Counseling Services
Choosing a therapist is a personal decision, and finding the right fit matters.
At NTB Counseling Services, my goal is to offer a space where you can feel comfortable, understood, and supported as you navigate life’s challenges.
🌿 Meet Nicole
Hi, I’m Nicole Turner Beardslee, a Licensed Independent Mental Health Professional based in Omaha, Nebraska.
My path to becoming a therapist wasn’t something I originally planned.
There was a time in my life when I was navigating uncertainty about my career and trying to figure out what direction I was meant to take. During that time, I was working with a therapist who saw something in me that I hadn’t yet seen in myself—and suggested that I might have the qualities to become a therapist.
What began as an unexpected idea eventually became something much more meaningful.
Today, being a therapist isn’t just a profession for me—it’s something I feel deeply called to do.
🌿 My Approach
A client once told me that sessions with me feel like “talking to your favorite aunt.”
That’s always stayed with me.
I believe therapy should feel like a place where you can be yourself—without pressure, without judgment, and without needing to have everything figured out.
My approach is warm, thoughtful, and collaborative. I take time to understand what you’re experiencing, ask meaningful questions, and work with you to create goals that feel realistic and supportive for your life.
🌿 What I Help With
I work with adults who are navigating:
Anxiety and overthinking
Depression and emotional overwhelm
Trauma and past experiences
Grief and loss
Life transitions and uncertainty
Difficult family or relationship dynamics
Self-esteem and boundary setting
I also provide therapy for therapists and helping professionals who want a space of their own to process, reflect, and grow.
🌿 A Human Approach to Therapy
I believe that therapy is not about “fixing” you.
It’s about understanding the experiences that have shaped you, and finding ways to move forward with greater clarity, balance, and self-compassion.
You don’t need to have the right words.
You don’t need to have a clear plan.
You just need a place to begin.
🌿 A Personal Note
I feel genuinely grateful to do this work.
It’s a privilege to sit with people as they share their stories, navigate challenges, and begin to make meaningful changes in their lives.
🌿 A Gentle Invitation
If you’ve been thinking about starting therapy, you’re welcome to reach out when you feel ready.
